Progress report:

Today Lani and I opened a joint account at Vancity. We chose Vancity partly because it is a credit union, and therefore not a bank, but also partly because it took the boots to the Catholic Church by coming out in favour of gay marriages. Take that, Vatican! On a slightly related note, the South Park episode where the priest goes to the Vatican is hilarious: "But f*cking boys in the ass is part of our religion!"

We've also secured pre-approval for a mortgage, and have our hearts set on the Elements. But really, we'll take anywhere.
